The Junior World Challenge Cup is close

2012-01-28 08:10

Göteborg will soon welcome the best junior synchro teams in the world to the Junior World Challenge Cup. A total of 18 teams from 13 countries will enter the competition.

The competitition will take place on March 16-17, but the teams are naturally scheduled to arrive earlier in the week. The venue will be the renovated Frölundaborg Arena, with a capacity of 7500 spectators.

Last year's JWCC was extremely exciting, with not even one point separating the two Finnish teams who ended up on top: Team Fintastic won and Musketeers came in second place. Bronze medallists Team Braemar from the USA were not far behind either.

A complete list of entries for this year's JWCC can be found here.

During Sunday March 18th, the international novice competition Leon Lurje Trophy will take place in the same ice rink. That means this weekend will be a real treat for Swedish synchronized skating lovers. Twelve novice teams from four countries will compete for the medals.

Here is the entire Leon Lurje Trophy entry list.
