After winning the World Synchronized Championships several times, the results from the last two years have been a disappointment for Team Surprise from Sweden. Their coach, Andrea Dohany, is aiming to repair that on home soil in Göteborg (photo by Elin Bryngelson).
Göteborg welcomed the best junior synchro teams in the world to the Junior World Challenge Cup. A total of 18 teams from 13 countries entered the competition.
As the only new country, Latvia makes its first appearance at the World Synchronized Championships 2012. But it has been a rocky road from when the sport first started in the baltic country, five years ago.
During the Draw Ceremony on Thursday evening all the teams will be on the ice. The draw takes place at the end of the Opening Ceremony and all teams should be dressed in their national team suit.
